I just want to brag a little about my oldest grandson, Connor Thornton Leach. He is the son of my second-born son, Jeffrey and his wife, Denise.
He recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), in Philadelphia. He received a B.S. in Engineering, majoring in chemical & bio-molecular engineering and geology. He was a member of the Penn Geology Society, Penn Newman Catholic Club, Engineering Peer Advisory Group, American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He received a Paleontology research award, the A. Norman Hixson Award, and was on the Dean’s List. He has accepted a position with Schlumberger, the worlds largest oil field service company, as a Drilling Fluids Engineer.
Needless to say, I am so very proud of him. He’s the oldest grandchild, so he makes a good roll-model for the other 11 grandkids to follow. I know Bill is up there smiling.
