Ron Guydan

Unfortunately we have lost another classmate.

Ronald Joseph Guydan, formerly of Monongahela, passed from this life at home on May 30, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Okla., at the age of 84. He was born on Jan. 11, 1941, in Monongahela, son of the late John Guydan and Helena Armenini Guydan. Ronald served his country by joining the United States Air Force after graduating high school, specializing in microwave and electronics. After moving to New Orleans, he became sales/ service manager at TANO. He married his life-long friend, Marie Louise Duhe, of Laplace, Louisiana, on Sept. 6, 1996. He retired in 2011 in Broken Arrow, Okla. Ronald loved his work, and he put his heart into everything he did. He was passionate about helping others and was always willing to lend a hand. He volunteered at the New Orleans Zoo when living there. He considered New Orleans his true home. He loved to travel, even with his job, but he especially liked to travel with Marie, taking her for drives to see the country. Ronald will be greatly missed by those who have known him and were fortunate enough to call him family and friend. He is survived by his wife, Marie Louise Guydan of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a sister, Gloria Guydan Walsh of Monongahela; children, Alain Guydan of Smyrna, Tenn., and Genevieve Guydan Suarez of Slidell, La.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
